  • TRAVEL BROCHURE SHOULD BE: 
  • Colorful
  • Concise
  • Easy to read
  • Well organized
  • Written in Spanish, in the present tense, simple future tense (ir a + infinitive), or immediate past tense (acabar de + infinitive) using vocabulary that authors are already familiar with.

 

  • INFORMATION TO BE TURNED IN WITH BROCHURE:
  • MLA style Works Cited page that includes ALL of the sites that you USED to complete your Travel Brochure (you may use www.noodletools.com to creeate your Works Cited page).
  • MAPping information (Meta-Web information, Author, and Purpose of each website should be included in your E-journal).

 

  • INFORMATION TO BE INCLUDED IN BROCHURE:
  • A slogan or "catchy phrase"  that gets the readers' attention.
  • Travel destination
  • Sites/Landmarks
  • Activities for adults and kids
  • Pictures and Graphics (fun and happy!)
  • Food/Restaurants
  • Transportation available for tourists
  • Clothing/things to bring
  • Advertisements (if desired)
  • FACTS ABOUT THE COUNTRY/AREA SUCH AS:
  • Location
  • Surrounding countries/bodies of water
  • Population
  • Language spoken
  • Type of government(s)
  • Type of currency and exchange rate (U.S. dollars to country's currency)
  • Religion(s) practiced
  • Other cultural facts
  • Weather that will be encountered during the assigned season
  • Holidays that will be celebrated during the assigned season

You have just received a phone call from the President's aid.  The United States cities and states with high Latino populations would like you to bring some travel brochures with you advertising all the Latino-friendly attractions they have to offer.  Because these brochures will be distributed to Spanish-speaking people, your brochure must be written in Spanish.

Create a Puerto Rico Travel Brochure!

The Spanish vocabulary that you already know (especially from Unidad 3) and the cultural facts that you have learned (especially in Unidad 3) will help you create a fabulous travel brochure that makeS the reader say "That could be me!!!
 
Helpful Hints: 
  • Use the vocabulary that you already know! 
  • Simplify what you have to say in order to use the vocabulary that you are familiar with already!
  • Highlight the season of travel that your team chose (El invierno, la primavera, el verano, el otono).
  • Your primary focus should be on your Unidad 3 vocabulary INCLUDING UNIDAD 3 ETAPA 3!!!
  • Don't forget about your E-journal, MAPping, and your Works Cited page!
