How lucky are we!  The Parent Support Association has accepted our proposal and is going to pay the membership fee so that anyone who wants to participate can find a Spanish-Speaking penpal online!

  • If you don't already have an e-mail account, create a free e-mail account at www.juno.com
  • Visit www.pen-pals.net
  • Click on International Pen Friends (only school-appropriate friendships for this project!)
  • Search through the list to find a new Spanish-speaking pen pal.
  • Ideally, pen pals would communicate via e-mail and live in the country or area that you researched for your Presidential Ambassador Project.
  • La maestra/El maestro has the final word as to whether the e-pal that you choose is appropriate for this project (since the Parent Support Association is paying for you to participate!)
  • You must communicate in Spanish with your e-pal in order to receive extra credit.  At least 5 letters must be submitted for a project grade.
  • Have fun!  Make new amigos!

  • MAKE GOOD DECISIONS.  NEVER PLAN TO MEET UP WITH E-PALS YOU HAVE NEVER MET WITHOUT PARENTS BEING AWARE OF WHAT THE SITUATION IS, AND APPROVING!  BE SAFE!
